What's included in the $45 registration fee?
Your $45 includes the race bib, and access to the finish village.
Will the registration price change?
Yes. $45 now through June 11th. Price increases to $55 on June 12th. Register today to lock in your spot at the early bird rate.
Are refunds available?
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
THE RACE
What time does the race start and where exactly?
The race starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Oakwood Beach · Chicago Lakefront at 39th Street. Check-in opens at 7:00 AM.
Is the race timed?
Yes, there will be an official finish line clock. Times are gun-to-finish from the single wave start.
Can I walk instead of run?
Absolutely. Runners, joggers, and walkers are all welcome.
Is there a bag check?
There is no bag check. Please leave valuables at home or in your car.
GETTING THERE
How do I get there?
By car - I-55 to DuSable Lake Shore Drive, exit Oakwood Boulevard, 4100 S. Lake Shore Drive, pay parking in the lot
By CTA - #39 Pershing or #4 Cottage Grove bus, approximately 10-minute walk east to the lakefront
By rideshare - Drop-off at 4100 S. Lake Shore Drive, easiest access to the entrance
What’s the nearest CTA stop?
The Green Line (35th–Bronzeville–IIT) and Red Line (Sox–35th) are both within walking distance. Head east from either station to the lakefront path and walk south to 39th Street.

A portion of proceeds supports two Chicago organizations: Black Boy Lit (Chicago Black Boy Literacy Campaign - increasing literacy rates for 1,000 Black boys in 1st–3rd grade) and BBF Center for the Arts (Building Brighter Futures - youth arts, education, and family support services across Chicago).
